A COUPLE who met on Plymouth Hoe on VJ Day, are celebrating 60 years of marriage.
rolex fakeWilliam Robert Turner met and later married Joan Margaret Dorothy Moore of Stonehouse.
They were joined together in matrimony by Arthur J Radford at St Paul's Church in Stonehouse on December 10, 1949, William aged 22 and Joan aged 19.
William was a steward in the Navy and the couple went on to have two daughters, Laura and Ruth.
Joan was a shoe shop assistant before working for Millbay Laundry. William was also a shop assistant for Widgers in Debenhams and then assistant manager for Hussells Builders Merchant. He then worked at Bulk DIY in Peverell as an assistant department manager.
The diamond pair attend many events every month and still replica clothing love to take to the dance floor, ballroom and sequence dancing.

Their eldest daughter Laura Cooves, is married to Frank. Their children are Matthew and wife Jayne, Laurence and Edward.
Youngest daughter Ruth Neve is married to Dave and their son is Richard. Joan and William also have a great grandson called Alfie.
Family and friends helped the Ernesettle couple celebrate 60 years of marriage with a meal in the conservatory of the Elburton Inn.
