Front runners
A TOUCH of luxury underfoot would be one way to describe a Roger Oates runner or rug, and it is one piece that also looks as good as it feels. Rugs are hand-sewn and can be made to almost any size, finished with either a flat hem for a contemporary look or bound with linen tapes for a more classic style. One of the company's classic styles, the 100 per cent wool Chatham - a design of herringbone stripes across a spectrum of colours that was originally commissioned as a floor covering for a Bedouin tent in traditional shades - has just been released in six new colourways. Now it is available in Mallow, Rosewood, Fern, China Blue, Smoke and Azure.
